Course participant testimonials SketchUp + V-Ray + LayOut - Single-Family House Project

  • Mikołaj 06-01-2026 Verified purchase review

Great material, it helped me organize my knowledge. I used to use V-Ray but then I stopped. I had to come back to it, and it made things much easier for me.

  • OLA 25-11-2025 Verified purchase review

Nothing can give me as good an opinion as this course deserves. I know I completed it in the age of AI, but I’m from a generation that prefers those old-school methods ;) For pleasure, even. So, if someone like me prefers that mode, I sincerely recommend it. A course full of knowledge both in SketchUp and V-Ray. At the same time, I won’t hide that I’m also considering purchasing the AI course, because fun is fun, but you still have to make your work easier!

  • Anna Dąbrowska 31-05-2025 Verified purchase review

The course gave me a solid foundation and confidence in working with SketchUp, LayOut, and V-Ray. The instructor spoke very precisely, which made it easy for me to grasp even the most challenging concepts.

  • Klaudia Kosela 14-05-2025 Verified purchase review

The SketchUp + V-Ray 6 course proved to be a fantastic introduction to the world of exterior visualization. The instructor conveyed the knowledge in a simple and accessible way that completely changed my approach to design.

What is the course about?

The course has been developed using the suite: SketchUp , LayOut , and V-Ray. These are popular programs for creating photorealistic visualizations and basic technical documentation based on fundamental three-dimensional models. The course presents the process of creating architectural drawings and exterior visualizations and documents it thoroughly so that you can easily absorb it and replicate it in your own work.

SketchUp - work based on authentic documentation

The course program is based on a real project of a small, 140-square-meter, two-story single-family house. You will undoubtedly encounter this type of assignment in your professional career. So learn on solid foundations and be prepared for future challenges.

During this training, you will see exactly what work on such a project looks like. The instructor will tell you about useful tools, point out optimization possibilities, and share his proven tricks. All this is aimed at working faster and more efficiently.

LayOut - the ready recipe for automatic technical drawings

The goal of the training is not only to create photorealistic architectural visualizations but also to prepare a technical project in the LayOut software. This tool is provided to you as a "bonus" in the full SketchUp Pro package.

LayOut is similar to AutoCAD: it allows working to scale, editing line weights, dimensioning, and preparing documents for printing. You can easily produce plans, sections, and elevations. Best of all, drawings do not need to be created from scratch; they are generated automatically from the SketchUp model!

SketchUp - harness the full potential of the software

Although SketchUp offers a very wide range of tools, its arsenal can be further expanded with additional extensions.

For instance: BezierSpline makes creating complex curves easier. FredoCorner adds fillets to sharp solids. Component Stringer automatically distributes components in space; and Skatter version 2 helps execute even the most advanced land development projects. The comprehensive, over 13-hour training program guarantees mastering the full capabilities of these and many other plugins.

V-Ray - discover the new features introduced in V-Ray

V-Ray is also a kind of extension without which creating photorealistic visualizations is practically impossible. Many new features have been introduced in the 6th version, especially useful in architectural visualizations.

In this context, repeatable geometries (Enmesh), procedural clouds, and simple sections using Camera clipping deserve special attention. You will learn all of these topics in dedicated lessons.

V-Ray - create visualizations at different times of day and under various lighting conditions

V-Ray provides many lighting options that can be combined in unlimited configurations. The course presents tested, ready-to-use lighting concepts that will also work perfectly in your scenes.

Whether you want to present a building in morning or evening settings, under a cloudy sky or bright sun, V-Ray’s tools will allow you to master each of these scenarios.

V-Ray - post-produce like a professional without using Photoshop

Post-production is a very important stage in creating architectural visualizations. It takes place after the rendering is completed and has so far been the domain of external graphic programs such as Photoshop.

Find out how to ditch unnecessary software and perform post-production exclusively in V-Ray. Learn advanced Cryptomatte masks that will allow you to precisely select any elements of the image and change their properties without affecting the rest. Freely adjust the mood of your visualization, introduce color balance, and gain full control over your image.
