The terms of use define the maximum annual revenue from creative work, the maximum allowable project value, and also limit the number of licenses per user or organization. For some time now, I have been eagerly awaiting this information. Finally! We have obtained the 3ds Max Indie and Maya Indie licenses in Poland.

3ds Max Indie - Price

We can purchase an annual 3ds Max Indie license for just under $320, compared to over $1,945 previously! As you can see, the difference is enormous, and I hope that this change will lead to an increase in the number of 3ds Max users once again.

Personally, I have noticed for some time that many people choose cheaper and simpler programs to learn than 3ds Max, which is completely understandable. I hope that at least one obstacle has now been removed and the price will no longer be a hindrance. :)

3ds Max - Indie - Who Can Use This License?

You may be wondering who can take advantage of this license. Below are the conditions you must meet:

The annual gross income from the user’s or organization's creative work must not exceed 100,000 USD
The licensee cannot use the license in any project valued at over 100,000 USD
The user or organization can only use one license.
The offer is available in the following countries: Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Australia, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and China.

As you can see, there are some limitations, but I still think that many people will be able to take advantage of this offer.

We often receive questions about the differences between the standard 3ds Max and 3ds Max Indie. As it happens, there are no differences in the program itself, because we use the exact same software version. 3ds Max Indie is simply the name of the license, not a different version of the program.
